It was 30 Years ago today, that I began my studies at The Neighborhood Playhouse School of Theater. Or, it was the first day that I made an entry in my first journal about my studies there. I'm not sure which it is. Nonetheless, I entered the school to learn the craft of acting for a career as a professional actor. Let's just say, I learned a great deal more from my studies under the brilliant teachers there, than I had anticipated. Instead of continuing to let these journal's gather dust on my bookshelf, perhaps others might benefit from their pages. That is my hope.

Dear José Ángel,
thank you so very much for sharing your class journals with us. As a Meisner Technique actor/student/teacher myself, this proofs extremely helpful. I will be checking often.
Thanks again and much Love!
Javier
It is my pleasure, Javier.
I'm happy the journal is of use. This was a very interesting time at the Playhouse. We began the year with Mr. Meisner absent. And then, a month or so into the school year he returned to teaching after his operation. It was an amazing time that has influenced the rest of my life profoundly.
Thank you for the encrougement to post keep posting.
All the best
Jose it is really a pleasure to see this beginning of such an incredible life that you have led...I have this overwhelming feeling of comfort when I see those words that you have written, the memories of class and the thought of you learning and then passing on your knowledge is truly a amazing... thank you again.--Evelyn
Well, thanks for the kind words Evelyn.
It is rather remarkable how those
words are still such a part of my everyday vocabulary and thought process.
I'm glad you enjoy them. And thanks much for the blog comment.
Love,
José
